This is also related to a character I'm working on...but I was wondering about what would happen if a Shin'a'in Swordsworn ended up with a Gift? Not mage-gift. Would that even be possible? The goddess takes away sexual desire so would she take away the Gift too, I mean since the Shin'a'in really aren't fans of the Gifts. I'd kinda like for a swordsworn to be at the Collegia to train a gift...but only so that she can go back to her clan.

Also...I assume women can become warriors (even those who aren't swordsworn)? Like, just plain warriors?

Please give us Mods a bit to discuss how best to answer your first question, LadyT. We were actually just going over something very like this ourselves, but we hadn't reached a decision yet! lol. As for your second question, yes. Women can become warriors. In fact, female Heralds are trained in weaponry just the same as males, and Shin'a'in women can fight along side their men, etc.

Aw okay then. Ya I remembered about the Heralds but I so couldn't remember about the Shin'a'in women and men being warriors. I swear the only ones I remember being mentioned were swordsworn. Anyway thanks...and I'm in no rush for the answer, anyway.

Mentions a kal'enedral who is also a healer in storm breaking. They don't spontaneously develop gifts they had them before taking her oath. Your more likely to find those with things like fetching or mindspeach in the crones service though they swear to both the crone and the warrior but yes to your question.
